Rural Homelessness Stabilization and Health Infrastructure Project
Josephine County, Oregon
The Mobile Integrative Navigation Team (MINT) is advancing a $1,500,000 capital improvement project to strengthen rural homelessness stabilization infrastructure in Josephine County.
This project includes:
• Construction of an ADA-accessible hygiene facility with showers, restrooms, and laundry services
• Renovation and expansion of MINT’s Navigation Center to increase stabilization and service capacity
• Installation of a commercial-grade kitchen to ensure food safety compliance and support emergency shelter operations
MINT currently serves 50–70 individuals daily, including older adults and medically fragile residents experiencing homelessness. This project improves public health conditions, increases ADA accessibility, and strengthens coordinated rural response efforts.
Project Funding
Total Project Cost: $1,500,000
Federal Funding Request: $750,000
Remaining funding will be supported through secured and prospective private philanthropic contributions and additional capital fundraising efforts.
This project is being submitted for consideration through the FY27 Community Project Funding process.
